New associate missionary couple in Calgary
Also, EMC missionary Nancy Friesen is engaged
Travis and Mary Diede are the EMC’s newest associate missionaries.
The EMC Board of Missions is pleased to announce that Travis and Mary Diede (Abbeydale Christian Fellowship) have been accepted as associate missionaries. Travis served overseas in Taiwan and North Africa, and Mary in Tanzania, Chad, and France before getting married in 2021. They served together in France before returning to Calgary in 2024, where they now work with Borderless, a ministry of Africa Inland Mission, reaching out to immigrants and refugees in Calgary.

Nancy Friesen (Picture Butte Mennonite Church, EMC) and Matthew Braun (Hague Gospel Church, EMMC), are excited to announce their engagement and upcoming marriage on December 11, 2026, in Lethbridge, Alberta.
Following the wedding, Nancy will continue working in Amanecer with Misión Evangélica Menonita (MEM) in Bolivia, while Matthew will relocate to Bolivia as they begin their married life together. Matthew is currently applying to serve with MEM. They appreciate your prayers as they prepare for marriage and this new season of ministry together.
