Keeping ministry momentum
This summer I had a chance to visit Eagle Lake Bible Camp (run by Blumenort Community Church) and Longbow Bible Camp (run by Ridgewood Church). It is exciting to see the flurry of activity when you arrive at a Bible camp. I was able to interview a couple of staff to understand why they thought camp was such an important part of their church ministry.
Privileged to return to service
During the summer I served with Mennonite Disaster Service in Grand Forks, B.C., while I was a Bible college student, a youth pastor brought his youth group to volunteer for a week. I tucked the idea away in the back of my mind: one day, when I graduate and become a youth pastor myself, maybe I could bring my own youth group to serve with MDS. Seven years later, that idea became a reality.
