‘For such a time as this’
♪It was the last day of my children’s first week of school. Every morning, I walk with them to school and cry on the way back because I’ve discovered that crying warms your eyes, and you need all the warmth you can get when you’re walking in minus-forty degrees. That morning, I dropped the children off as usual and began the walk home. The tears came again, but this time they were not for warmth.
Mind the little things
In life, there are plenty of times when we miss the mark in small ways. Left unchecked, those little things can change our trajectory by a major distance over the long haul.
It started with the zucchinis
I seasonally forget how much time a garden harvest demands from me every summer. Preserving vegetables, making jam, searching for ways to use zucchini. My garden yields enjoyment, but confiscates time.
Baptism gives opportunity to celebrate
A baptismal service is an opportunity for the whole church to celebrate what God is doing in our midst. On Sunday, June 26, 2022, Rosenort EMC congregants witnessed four young people take this step of obedience in following Jesus.
