On March 15, 2026, Pastor Matt Funk, lead pastor at Heartland Community Church in Landmark, Man., was officially ordained by EMC Conference Pastor Andy Woodworth.
On Sunday, April 19, 2026, Carl Heppner, EMC director of Canadian outreach, ordained Pieter Van Ewijk (lead pastor) and Eric Giesbrecht (lay pastor) from Coaldale Mennonite Church.

On Sunday, September 28, it was a pleasure to have a group from Adult & Teen Challenge come to serve us. We enjoyed testimonies from a few of them. It was so wonderful to hear about the way their lives have been changed, and they gave reports about how their lives have been saved.

We are so excited to have Andreas Warkentin join our staff at Stony Brook Fellowship (SBF) as our community life pastor in September 2025.

For the last several generations, when our churches needed a new pastor, we assumed there was a group of moveable pastors “out there” looking for a church. “Out there” were unknown pastors trained, experienced, and ready to move their families across the continent to pastor our church.

Steinbach Evangelical Fellowship Church gathered for the commissioning of our new associate pastor, Trevor Fleming, on Sunday, September 22, 2024.

Over the last couple of years our church has grown in some unexpected ways.  The influx of Ukrainian refugees to Canada in 2022 led many families to the Arborg area.

Greetings from Pelly Fellowship Chapel. It was my pleasure to interview Pastor Ryan Rear and his lovely wife Uma on October 10, 2024—one year to the day from when they arrived. We were so excited to have a pastor again.

Kola, Man.—On Sunday, January 16, 2022, Pastor Ernest Reimer and his wife Sherridan were accepted into church membership at the Kola Evangelical Mennonite Church.

I attended Steinbach Bible Institute (now College) in the winters of 1956 to 1958. I graduated in 1958 with a three-year diploma.
